Outcast

The world sees her as a normal person,
But that is because they do not know,

Normal is not a word anymore, After the things,
through which she had to go.

With a plastered smile,
She walks through these lanes,
Hoping to find a little shade somewhere,
From the wretched hailstorms of pain.

But it is not her fault,
As somebody stabbed her soul,
All that remained was a piece of flesh,
Speechless heart and eyes of coal.

Selfish, is this society which wished to be near her,
When she stood tall,
But left her, alone and wounded on the street,
When she did fall.

Some feel she's a witch, a vixen,
Angry, emotionless and full of fiery rage,
Vengeance is all that she seeks,
Should be locked like an animal,in a cage.

But , just ask her once, what she is looking for,
And she'll tell you that it is something else which she wants,
Just a simple answer to a question,
And happily, she'll deal with the never-ending taunts.

To the satanic human, what she asks is
Why did you do that?
Did you gain anything? Or was I just another feather in your hat?

Dreamers of Tomorrow

We live in a materialistic, greedy, lusty, envious world. A world where the concept of love and brotherhood is fading fast and everything including hearts and souls are valued by their monetary value, instead of their emotional connect. Everyone is in a rat race, in a hurry to get ahead. Betrayal is as common and wide-spread as water; parents force their children into sewers of deep-rooted connections to the filthy system which slowly, but surely decimates all signs of imagination and creativity. The philosophy is that if you are not the best, you are nothing. More shocking is that if you are good, it is not good enough.

Education is still there, but knowledge has vanished and intellect is scarcer. Where is understanding? What have our need for progress done to this world? We are consumed by our own materialistic need, which while filling up our external surrounding, has turned us into empty, worthless, pathetic mortal cocoons. Every day, every time and everywhere Genius is measured by its measure to fit into a system and not by the sheer nature of its audacity.

But there are a few, a minority which dare. They are a rarity and they refuse to change. The world has seen very few of them but once they arrive, the world takes a back seat and is left awe-struck. These people take the responsibility of shaping our world into a better place, into making it habitable for our children, for our successors who will inherit this earth and there is nothing that those policy-makers can do to stop them or to push them back. Sure, you can push them back, but they will just come roaring back. They don’t change the rules, they change the game itself. These are the hearts and souls of the world which yearn to be heard. Revolutions, revolts and evolution is just a day’s work for them. While others see darkness, they see light. They are the thinkers, the change-makers, the rebels, the ones who see world is a different perspective. The world will fear, love, despise, follow, sway with them. The world will change with them and by them.

They are the dreamers.

As Aerosmith rightly said, dream on. :)

Curiosity

"Pondering over the universe,
Sitting, he was, under a tree,
An apple fell on his head,
And his mind was never more free."

Over the years, humans have undertaken many a quests. From finding the elements to discovering new lands, they have done it all. There is, literally, no field which was not affected by the pest of curiosity.

Curiosity, no matter how weird or unbelievable in nature, is the most important gift given by the Almighty. It has shaped the Neanderthal from a mindless beast to an intellectual being. Had it not been for Da Gama and his need to find the source of spices, India would have been virtually unknown to the European nations.
Throughout time, questions such as the one asked by Rosa Parks have made us more civilized and have given shape to the modern society as we know it.
Times have changed and so has the curiosity of the Homo sapiens. From reaching into space, we have moved onto more important matters at hand, which are apparent with world forums like the Global Economic Forum and movements like the Lotus Revolution.

Love it or despise it, curiosity will remain and as long as it’s there, humans will always find answers. So, now I ask you, any question on your mind?

Too Late

The nights are dying,
The days are no more,
Fate is decided,
Extinction on its core.

The land under,
Cracking to release,
The Hell-hounds shall rise,
Fragile, human existence shall cease.

From the grim skies,
Rain the drops of raging fire,
Midas's burning touch,
Ending greed, lust and desire.

No Savior will come forth,
Prayers won't help,
None to console,
They will scream, shout, shriek, yelp.

Mother would take her wrath,
End the never-ending sins,
They will repent for their crimes,
There will be no scapegoats, no one to pin.

My Mother said...

When I was a kid,
My mother told me,
Listen to what I am saying,
Because the world is not always a beautiful place to see.

When you get out there,
There will be few people, whom you can believe,
Few things you must know,
As there will be few others who will deceive.

There will be a few people,
Who will never leave your side,
They will stay till the end of time,
From them, love and care, will never be denied.

Don’t ever ignore these people,
Always give them all your care,
You can trust them with your life,
Because finding real friends is rare.

There will be other people,
Who would try to cause you pain,
They would only want to see you fall ,
Your sorrow would be their gain.

You must remember who they are,
Foes is what you call this lot,
Stand up to them if they hurt your family,
And fear them you must not.

The world outside is an unknown beast,
Full of sin and greed,
Whom to trust and whom to not,
You must heed.

The world is very cruel,
It is full of masks,
Just let open your heart and soul,
And in success, you will be the one who basks.

My son, you must never fear to try,
And your horizons you must span,
And never forget your values,
Because these are what make you man.

Then she prayed to God,
Please help my dear son,
Help him as he starts his journey and,
For others, let him be the midnight Sun.

Oh, Do I not miss...

Looking at the setting Sun,
Sitting on a shore,
Feeling the cool breeze,
Hearing the tides roar.

I think about the times,
That have gone by,
Those were the happiest years of my life,
This, I do not lie.

Oh, do I not miss my friends,
All the ones close to me,
The fun we had,
Caring less if the world did see.

Going to the movies,
Or the café nearby,
For each other we were,
Ready to die.

Setting up a friend’s date,
Resolving a fight,
To tease him with her name,
Was like our right.

Oh, do I not miss,
The crushes that I had,
To make her smile was all,
I wanted to do real bad.

The unfound love,
That slipped away,
Despite all my efforts,
It swayed in someone else’s way

Oh, do I not miss my school,
That I once called my second home,
Sleeping during the classes and,
All the periods that we did roam.

But that time is gone,
And will never return,
All I now want is,
To, the life gone by, again turn.

Oh, do I not miss,
The times gone by,
Oh, do I not miss,
The times gone by…

Sweet Temptress

I try to cover all my pain
As I walk down this lane again,
Following me was a shadow knight
Oh God, please show me the light.

I know I lost all that I loved,
Sins I did commit so horrifying,
But what have I done to this world,
Why is it turning so terrifying?

Oh, I would give up everything,
For one more chance,
Just to see their smiling face again, before,
With the Devil, my last dance.

She tempts so many,
So many in her trap, lured,
She comes like a gentle breeze and whispers sweet nothings,
Slowly in the throats so gasping, Death she poured.

Maybe it was all a part of her masterpiece,
Taking me along,
I still remember, as she faded into the mist,
Her lips, singing the last song.
